What is Arpeggi Studio?

Arpeggi Studio is a transparent, open-source and collaborative web3 music creation platform built on the ARP protocol technology that allows musicians to share their music for reuse with the assurance of guaranteed attribution when their sound is used. In the traditional music industry, compliantly using someone else’s sound requires payment and legal clearance. With Arpeggi Studio, any sound that you hear is yours to create with.

How does Arpeggi Studio work?

Arpeggi Studio offers easy-to-use music creation tools, powered by Web3.

Arpeggi Studio is built on top of an infinite and growing sound library. When an artist uploads a sound or song to Arpeggi, the sound is registered in the ARP protocol thereby publishing an on-chain record of authorship and giving the sound contributor an NFT as a certificate of their contribution. Once a sound is registered in the protocol, it is available for re-use by other artists with guaranteed attribution.

What do you do with these sounds? In addition to the sound library, we’ve built an in-browser DAW (digital audio workstation) for composing, publishing and minting a music NFT from scratch. When finished making a song, creators can press the “Mint” button to tokenize their song, registering their work back into the protocol, which allows other users to make even more remixes. Yes, these creators get tokens too - 1 for their song, and 1 for each of their instrument tracks.
